Aarti Steels Ltd., located in Cuttack, Odisha, is a leading player in the Ferro Alloys industry, specifically in the Briquette unit. As we continue to expand our operations, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Sr. Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) – FAP Briquette Plant.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Sr. Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) – FAP Briquette Plant
- Experience: 4-5 years, preferably in Chrome Ore Briquette Plant
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Joining Period: 15-30 days minimum
- Salary Package: As per market standard

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the entire briquette plant.
- Oversee the maintenance of key equipment, including briquetting press machine, peddle mixer/muller mixture, rotary dryer, vibrating screen, feeder, heavy-duty gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, and conveyor belts.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all mechanical equipment in the briquette plant.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and execute necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability when needed.
- Establish and maintain daily checklists for the briquette plant’s mechanical systems.
- Ensure that daily inspections are carried out, and necessary actions are taken to address any identified issues promptly.
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
- Provide training and guidance to ensure the team is equipped to handle maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate manpower for planned maintenance activities and emergency repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular safety training for the maintenance team.
