The Shift In-Charge (CAPL) will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operation of the Continuous Annealing Pickling Line during assigned shifts. The role ensures safe, efficient and high-quality production while leading a team and coordinating with cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities Jindal Stainless Recruitment

1. Operational Oversight

• Monitor and manage CAPL operations to ensure uninterrupted, smooth production.
• Quickly resolve process deviations and maintain operational continuity.

2. Quality Compliance

• Follow grade-wise quality plans and maintain line parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and take timely corrective actions.

3. Technical Expertise

• Apply MIG welding knowledge for strip joining and support during equipment breakdowns.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues.

4. Maintenance Coordination

• Work with the maintenance team to identify, report, and resolve equipment problems.
• Participate in PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) to minimize downtime.

5. Safety & Standards

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Maintain a strong safety culture within the team.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 10+ members during the shift.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Effectively plan manpower to meet production targets.

7. Efficiency & Optimization

• Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and energy savings.
• Support initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong team leadership and shift management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and reporting tools
• Hands-on knowledge of MIG welding and basic maintenance
• Ability to work under pressure and manage real-time operational challenges

JSL Recruitment 2025 Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Electrical / Production Engineering
• Experience in CAPL, steel processing lines, or similar continuous manufacturing environments is preferred.
