Job Role: Mould Operator (Slab Caster)

In a slab caster, the mould operator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of slabs during the casting process. This position requires deep understanding of mould level control, cooling systems, lubrication, and casting parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mould systems in slab casting machines
• Maintain proper mould level and ensure stable casting conditions
• Check cooling water parameters and ensure uniform heat transfer
• Handle mould powder addition and lubrication effectively
• Identify defects like cracks, stickers, or breakout risks
• Coordinate with control room and field operators
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines strictly
• Maintain shift logs and report abnormalities

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following requirements:

• ✔️ Qualification: 10+2 / ITI / Diploma (Mechanical or related field preferred)
• ✔️ Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in slab caster operations
• ✔️ Strong knowledge of CCM process
• ✔️ Hands-on experience in mould operation and troubleshooting
• ✔️ Ability to work in shifts in a plant environment
