Position Details

• Job Title: Shift In Charge / Engineer – Instrumentation
• Department: Electronics / Instrumentation
• Function: Instrumentation Maintenance – HBI
• Location: Hazira, Surat, Gujarat
• Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Electronics or Instrumentation
• Experience:
  • Diploma Holders: 6–9 Years
  • B.E. Graduates: 3–6 Years

Job Purpose

The Instrumentation Shift In Charge / Engineer will handle shift-based instrumentation maintenance activities at the HBI Plant. Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting breakdowns and ensuring quick resolutions.
• Executing preventive and predictive maintenance of instrumentation systems such as level, pressure, flow, vibration, and speed measurement devices.
• Managing belt weighing systems, control valves, smart/electromechanical positioners.
• Working with DCS/PLC logic and graphics management.
• Interpreting loop diagrams and P&IDs.
• Ensuring safe and efficient operations in collaboration with operations and service departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, overhauling, and maintenance of instruments and control valves.
• Manage spares, tools, and ensure availability of critical items.
• Execute shutdown preparations and jobs.
• Proficiently work with SAP PM & MM modules.
• Adhere to AM/NS safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, HIRAC, and promote a strong safety culture.

Functional Skills

• Maintenance of ON-OFF and control valves, transmitters, and weighing systems.
• Proficiency in Yokogawa DCS and Siemens PLC systems.
• RCA-based problem-solving.
• Familiarity with 5S, PSM, SMP revisions, and safety standards.
