ICG Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility criteria for recruitment of Navik (General Duty) and Yantrik in the Indian Coast Guard in terms of educational qualification and age limit is available below.

• Educational Qualification:
  • Navik (General Duty): One must have passed the Intermediate with Mathematics and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education.
  • Yantrik: An individual must have passed the Class 10 exam and he or she has pursued a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering from an AICTE approved Institution.
• Age Limit:
  • Navik (General Duty): One’s age must not be below 18 and above above 22 years i.e. a candidate shouldn’t have been born before 01 March 2003 and after 28 February 2007.
  • Yantrik: Same as above.

Before applying for the ICG CGEPT 01/2024 for Navik (General Duty) or Yantrik, a candidate is highly recommended to check the notification brochure.

• For SC/ST candidates: Nil

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 22 Years
• Candidates should be born between 01 Mar 2003 to 28 Feb 2007 (both dates inclusive) applying for post of Navik (GD) and Yantrik
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

• Height: Minimum 157 cms
• Chest: It should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
• Weight:  Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable.
• Hearing: Normal
