Aarti Steels Ltd. in Cuttack is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Shift In-Charge in the Process Department of our Steel Melting Shop (SMS). If you have a background in Metallurgy or a related field and possess relevant experience in a similar role within a Steel Melting Shop, we encourage you to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all activities related to the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) during assigned shifts.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of EAF processes in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor and control the steel melting process, maintaining optimal conditions for quality and productivity.
- Troubleshoot and address any operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance overall efficiency.
- Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians during the shift.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure that the steel produced meets required specifications and standards.
- Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality norms.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities, production metrics, and any incidents.
- Prepare shift reports detailing production performance, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.

Qualifications:
Diploma/ B. Tech in Metallurgy or related field.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a Steel Melting Shop.
