Position: Shift Engineer / Shift Incharge – Power Plant
Department: Operation / Mechanical / Electrical

JSW is offering this exciting role to professionals who can take charge of shift operations, maintenance, and monitoring of large-scale power plant activities. The company prefers candidates with prior experience in handling operations of 100 MW or above capacity power plants.

👷 Experience Required

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• 2 to 8 years of experience in power plant operations.

• Hands-on exposure to 100 MW+ power plants will be a major advantage.

If you’ve worked in high-capacity power plants and understand the nitty-gritty of turbine operations, DCS handling, and maintenance protocols, you’ll fit right in.

🎓 Qualifications

Candidates should possess any of the following educational qualifications:

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Additional training or certification from NPTI (National Power Training Institute) in Power Plant Operations or O&M will be considered a significant plus.

Having NPTI credentials not only boosts your chances but also demonstrates your readiness to handle the technical and operational challenges in a high-performance plant environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Boiler Operation & Turbine Monitoring: Ensuring optimal performance and safety of power generation units.

• DCS Operation & Operational Efficiency: Managing Distributed Control Systems for smooth and reliable plant operations.

• Equipment Parameter Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing key parameters for preventive and corrective actions.

• Preventive Maintenance Coordination: Scheduling and overseeing maintenance activities to avoid breakdowns.

• Electrical System Interface: Collaborating with electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigating faults and implementing corrective solutions to avoid recurrence.

This is a dynamic, high-responsibility position that requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to work in rotational shifts.
