Mechanical Engineering Job Description:
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Proficient in 3D modeling and drafting using Solidworks.
- Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design experience includes:
- Concept design of SPMs.
- Pneumatic and bearing selections for machines.
- Material selections for machine components.
- Knowledge in manufacturing processes:
- Sheetmetal.
- Welding.
- Machining.
- Heat & Surface Treatment.
- Excellent knowledge of geometrical tolerances and dimensions.
- Knowledge of bought-out components for machines (motors, cylinders, actuators).
- Experience in Teamcentre (PLM).
