- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgy
Job Description & Responsibilities:
✔ Plan and control production activities to meet furnace efficiency and product quality targets.
✔ Supervise induction furnace operations – melting, tapping, temperature monitoring, power input control.
✔ Manage furnace preventive maintenance (refractory inspection, coil condition, transformer performance, cooling system checks).
✔ Ensure compliance with safety standards for molten metal handling.
✔ Deploy and train manpower on furnace operations, process control, and troubleshooting.
✔ Optimize raw material charging, energy consumption, and slag handling to improve furnace performance.
✔ Drive process improvement initiatives using data analysis to enhance melting efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve steel quality.
