New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has filed a court motion to block a $1.9 million severance payment to former WNMU President Joseph Shepard. Shepard, who resigned after an audit revealed improper spending, was also offered a tenured faculty position. The court will decide whether to temporarily halt the payout pending a full hearing.
