Roles and Responsibilities
As a Manager – Mechanical Maintenance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the power plant’s mechanical systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Overseeing major equipment overhauls, shutdowns, and emergency repairs.
- Ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks with minimal downtime.
- Monitoring the health of mechanical systems such as turbines, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Conducting root cause analysis for failures and implementing long-term solutions.
- Reviewing and approving technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and work permits.
This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of operational reliability.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma (B.Tech/Diploma).
- 15–25 years of relevant experience in power plant mechanical maintenance.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
