Experience: Minimum 5–7 Years as HOD (Head of Department)
Industry Preference: Alloy Steel / Mild Steel / Stainless Steel
About the Role
Shyam Group, a reputed name in the Indian steel industry, is looking for an experienced professional to lead Central Mechanical Maintenance in its Wire Rod Mill at Indore.
The ideal candidate will oversee all mechanical maintenance operations, ensure equipment reliability, and lead a team responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity. This is a senior leadership position suited for professionals with proven expertise in steel plant maintenance and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
🔧 Lead and manage all mechanical maintenance activities across the Wire Rod Mill.
⚙️ Ensure maximum equipment uptime through proactive and predictive maintenance.
📊 Oversee mechanical overhauls, shutdown planning, and spare parts management.
🧰 Collaborate with production and process control teams for efficiency improvements.
👷♂️ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintenance best practices.
📈 Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement in maintenance systems.
Candidate Profile
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as Head of Department (HOD) in mechanical maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of Wire Rod Mill or similar rolling mill operations.
- Experience in Alloy Steel / MS / SS industries preferred.
