Designation: AGM / Sr. Manager Location: Uttarpara, Hooghly (West Bengal) Academic Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar related degree. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the Rail/Locomotive/Train domain.
Technical Expertise:
1. Excellent knowledge of brake system operation principles, valve mechanisms, and various elements in the brake system.
2. Proficient in assembly methodology and mounting methods for elements like dampers, torque bars, etc.
3. Thorough understanding of end customer requirements, with the ability to interpret them from DOORS.
4. Knowledge of PDM documentation.
Titagarh Rail Systems Limited Engineering Responsibilities:
1. Review and advise on the suitability of systems solutions.
2. Delivery of Bogie Engineering outputs in compliance with Engineering QCD commitments.
3. Application of project Bogie Design development procedures.
4. Good knowledge of material specifications, weld types, structural standards (proof and fatigue), interfaces, weights management, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing tolerances.
5. Knowledge of piping and electrical cabling installation/routing.
6. Proficient in CAD Tools (Creo) and PDM System (Enovia).
7. Ability to select and size mechanical fixings (fasteners) based on structural requirements.
8. Good understanding of Bogie architecture and systems, including their methods of installation.
9. Awareness of Bogie cost drivers and the ability to optimize solutions for a cost-effective system meeting functionality and performance requirements.
1. Support team members with technical expertise in project execution.
2. Communicate effectively with customers regarding project scope understanding and technical queries.
3. Estimate and schedule work packages, preparing proposals.
4. Manage projects/deliverables with respect to quality and schedule.
5. Experience in Finite Element calculations, including both linear and non-linear assessments.
6. Provide recommendations and solutions to design challenges.
7. Relevant experience in the design of mechanically welded structures and assemblies (minimum 3 years).
8. Design and sizing of mechanical structures – welded and bolted.
9. Good communication and presentation skills.
