Aarti Steels Limited is inviting experienced professionals to join their Steel Melting Shop (SMS) division as Shift In Charge / Sr. Shift In Charge – LRF & VD (Alloy Steel).
This is a key leadership role where you will manage secondary metallurgy operations, monitor heat quality, and ensure smooth production of high-grade alloy steel.
If you have strong expertise in LRF, VD, alloy refining, heat accuracy, and metallurgical optimization, this is a great opportunity to lead operations at a reputed steel plant.

Cuttack, Odisha
Experience Required
8 – 10 Years (Only Alloy Steel SMS experience preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise LRF & VD operations for alloy steel production.
- Ensure chemical accuracy, temperature control, and metallurgical quality of every heat.
- Monitor key process parameters:
- Deoxidation
- Desulphurization
- Vacuum Degassing
- Alloy Addition
- Optimize refining cycles to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets.
- Coordinate with CCM, QC, and Production teams for seamless heat sequencing.
- Troubleshoot metallurgical deviations and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain documentation for heat reports, alloy consumption, cycle times, and process KPIs.
- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and operational excellence across all shifts.
Qualification & Skills
- Diploma / B.Tech in Metallurgy Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in LRF & VD operations (Alloy Steel SMS only)
- Strong knowledge of secondary metallurgy, alloying techniques, inclusion control & refining practices
- Ability to interpret chemical analysis reports and make quick metallurgical decisions
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and reporting skills
