Selection Process for ECR Patna Recruitment Apprentices 2025

1. Division/Unit Selection:
   Candidates must choose only one Division/Unit during the application process. The details of the available divisions/units and the number of slots, organized by trade, will be provided for the candidates to select from.
2. Selection Criteria:
   Selection for Apprenticeship training is based on a merit list prepared for each Division/Unit. The list is created by calculating the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI, giving equal weightage to both. The percentage for Matriculation is calculated based on marks in all subjects, not just any specific subject.
3. Final Selection Process:
   Candidates who are selected for Apprenticeship training will need to undergo verification of their original documents. Additionally, they must pass the appropriate medical examination to confirm their fitness for the training.
4. After that Candidate is considered for training.

Selected candidates will receive a stipend during their Apprenticeship at the applicable rates, which may change according to rules and directions from the Railway Board. The Stipend is approx. Rs,15000/ month

How to Apply for Apprentices in ECR Patna?

3. Candidates should be in possession of an Aadhar Card. At the time of registration, they have to fill in the 12-digit Aadhar Card number. This provision applies to candidates from all states and union territories except Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam. Candidates from these states can enter their voter ID number, valid passport number, driving licence number, or any other valid government identity card in the online application form.
4. Candidates should ensure that their name, father’s name, date of birth, and percentage of marks in Matric (10th) and ITI match exactly as recorded in their Matriculation/ITI certificate. Any deviation found at any stage will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
5. Candidates are advised to indicate their active mobile number and valid email ID in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire engagement process, as all important information/messages will be sent by email/SMS, which will be considered as read by the candidates.
6. Candidates have to keep printouts of their ONLINE application. If found eligible, they will be called for document verification, and the printout of the online application will be required to be produced at the time of document verification.
7. Candidates are required to upload their colour photograph (size 3.5 cm X 3.5 cm), taken not later than three months from the date of application, in colour, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, with a file size between 20 kb to 70 kb. The photograph must have a clear front view of the candidate without a cap and sunglasses.
8. Candidates are also required to upload their signature (size 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm in JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, with a file size between 10 kb to 30 kb). The signature must be in running handwriting, not in block/capital or disjointed letters.
9. Candidates are required to upload the legible scanned copy of the following documents:

• SSC (Standard 10th) or its equivalent Marks Sheet.
• Certificate for proof of Date of Birth (Standard 10th or its equivalent Marks Sheet or School Leaving Certificate indicating Date of Birth).
• Consolidated Marks Sheet of ITI for all semesters of the trade in which applied/Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
• National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.
